They want Lookman — Atalanta president reveals 3 clubs ready to sign Africa's best
Atalanta's Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman is in high demand, and his outstanding form over the past 12 months has made him one of the hottest properties in football.
Lookman's contract expires in June 2026, and Percassi has revealed that the club will do all they can to extend his stay.
Premier League clubs on alert for Ademola Lookman
However, despite the club's desire to retain him, Percassi acknowledges that there are three top clubs interested in signing Lookman.
"We will do everything at the end of the season to keep Lookman, but he must not remain reluctantly," Percassi explained.
"After all, we replaced Zapata, Papu Gomez, Muriel..."
He also added that Lookman has strong interest from the Premier League, saying,
" The big English teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United are eyeing the Nigerian striker."
This comes as no surprise, given Lookman's impressive performances in big games over the past year, including a hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen and a stunning goal against Real Madrid.
Lookman has been a revelation since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022, establishing himself as one of Serie A's top performers, and a key figure for the Nigerian national team.
