Taribo West turns 50
On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Taribo turned 50-years-old.
Taribo West was congratulated on his 50th birthday by the Union of European Football Association (UEFA) and Inter Milan, two of the biggest Italian teams.
UEFA and Inter posted birthday greetings on their X handles.
UEFA, for its part, shared a picture of Taribo sporting his iconic hairdo and a Super Eagles jersey on their Champions League X account.
Inter wrote on their handle. "Many happy returns, Taribo!
After playing for Inter from 1997 to 1999, Taribo transferred to AC Milan in 2000, the rival team in the city.

Taribo West career
Taribo played with Inter for two seasons, winning the 1997ā1998 Europa League (previously the UEFA Cup).
From 1993 to 1997, he was a regular player for Auxerre, and in 1997, he was instrumental in their Ligue 1 victory.
He also played for the Sharks, Obanta United, Derby Country, Kaiserslautern, Partizan, Al Arabi, and Julius Berger, among other teams.
He played a significant role in the U-23 Eagles, sometimes known as the "Dream Team," which took home the gold in the Olympic football competition in Atlanta in 1996.
Before leaving the Super Eagles in 2005, he had 42 games since making his debut in 1994.
He participated in two FIFA World Cups (1998, 2002) and two AFCONs (2000, 2002) while he was a member of the Super Eagles.
