Super Falcons star Toni Payne snubs Ronaldo picks her top three players of all time

Toni Payne has been an influential player for the Super Falcons since making her debut in February 2021.

The Nigerian international started all of Super Falcon's four games at the 2023 Women’s FIFA World Cup tournament.

The midfielder joined English side Everton in the summer after spending six years with Spanish side Sevilla.

Payne has listed football greats that have influenced her in the game along with her choices for the top three players of all time. 

She said, as reported by ESPN Africa on X, “Marta, Zidane, and Mess. As a winger, I just love to watch her (Marta) play. I think she is incredible on the ball. She’s definitely one of my idols in football.”

The Argentine maestro Lionel Messi, French legend Zinedine Zidane, and Brazilian Marta were chosen by Payne as her all-time favourites.

The Brazilian forward Marta, who is considered by many to be one of the best female football players in history, is also admired by Payne.

The Super Falcons star was quick to label the Inter Miami forward a "amazing player" after witnessing his incredible skill on the pitch.

Payne also mentioned Zidane, another of her football favourites, on the list, expressing her admiration for his distinct style of play: "I love the way he plays as well, Zidane too."
