The 36-year-old role will see him focus on nurturing young talents at the club and forging strategic partnerships that will elevate the club’s profile in Nigeria and across the world.

With his extensive experience across top leagues in Europe and Nigeria, including the most popular Premier League, and the Middle East, Ideye arrives with a wealth of experience and reach that could expose Atlantic Business and their players to new opportunities.

Ideye’s appointment follows a recent visit to the club as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, where the AFCON 2013 winner watched the club thrash Mailantarki Crae FC 3-1 to seal a spot in the N-Youth League final, which they eventually lost to Kwara United’s U19

Speaking on his new adventure, Ideye, as Pulse Sports gathered, is delighted with his new role as it allows him to focus on the next phase of his career, mentoring youngsters

I'm delighted to join this great club in a position that allows me to mentor and help young players which is what I want to do at this stage of my career," he said.

"ABFC is a very well-run football club and a good football team with good young players. I've been to watch games, so I know. This is going to be a great partnership. I can't wait to get started and contribute my knowledge and experience to elevate the club and the players," he added.

Ideye’s exit from Nigeria’s most successful club, Enyimba, came after a short stint, which was confirmed on May 30, 2025. The forward joined the Aba side in December last year as a free agent.

Brown Ideye joins Atlantic Business as director.

He went on to score four goals in 10 matches in the Football League and CAFCC as the People’s Elephant finished sixth and crashed out of the CAFCC.

Now, as he begins a new chapter as Director of Player Pathways and Partnerships, Ideye, who recently called out Enyimba for poor welfare during his time at the club, is tasked with developing a structured pathway for young players to progress from grassroots to professional levels.
