'Sometimes I Want to Quit' - Ruben Amorim Admits Struggles with Man United’s Challenges
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has confessed to his emotional turmoil amid a difficult start to the season, admitting "sometimes I want to quit, sometimes I want to be here for 20 years."
United have failed to win their first three games of the season, a run that includes a shock Carabao Cup exit to Grimsby Town.
The loss prompted strong post-match comments from Amorim, who said his players "spoke really loud" and that "something has to change," fueling speculation about his future at the club.

Ahead of Saturday's match against Burnley, the manager acknowledged that his emotions can get the better of him.
What Does the Future Hold for Amorim?
"Sometimes I want to quit, sometimes I want to be here for 20 years," he explained. "Sometimes I love to be with my players. Sometimes I don't want to be with my players. I need to improve on that. It is going to be hard."
Reflecting on his remarks after the Grimsby defeat, Amorim stood by his candid approach with the media, vowing to remain honest about his feelings.
"I know that when I speak these things, to be really honest, every time that we have a defeat like that, I will be like that," he said. "Sometimes I hate my players, sometimes I love my players—this is my way of doing things. I am going to be like that. In that moment, I was so frustrated."
United Coach Won’t Change His Approach
He continued: "You have experienced people talking about the way I should perform with the media, to be more calm. I am not going to be like that. I am trying to accept that and I am going to be who I am, that's why I have the passion I have. In that moment I was disappointed. We had a good pre-season and were playing better. That kind of performance, I was really disappointed with everything. But now it is a new game."
Reports on Friday suggested that Amorim is scheduled to hold talks with the United hierarchy over his future during the September international break, with some claiming the club fears he could walk away.
When asked about the planned discussions, Amorim replied: "I always have conversations with them. I am just focused on this game [against Burnley]. I need to live this day by day. I am going to be like that all the time so prepare yourselves."
Amorim on Mainoo and Hojlund
The United boss also addressed the future of midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who reportedly informed the club on Thursday that he wishes to seek a loan move this season.
"I want Kobbie to stay and he needs to fight for his place," Amorim stated. "We need Kobbie. That is not going to change. The players not playing will be disappointed but everyone will have opportunities. You have to fight in the week."
Regarding striker Rasmus Hojlund, who is reportedly nearing a loan move to Napoli, Amorim remained tight-lipped, saying, "Until it is official, I cannot say much."
