Report: Yamal complains about Barcelona medical staff
Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal reportedly made complaints to the club's leadership about the medical staff that oversaw his recent groin injury problems and requested to be treated by other members of staff.
Yamal's problem
Yamal’s trouble this season began during the September international window when he returned to Barcelona carrying a groin complaint after playing for Spain in the qualifiers.
Barcelona subsequently confirmed Yamal had suffered a pubalgia relapse that forced him out of the club’s next LALIGA fixtures.
The club’s medical department, led by Dr. Ricard Pruna, put him on a conservative rehab program and later sought a second opinion from an outside specialist to confirm the treatment plan and rule out any need for surgery.
Apart from Yamal, other first-team players have suffered recurring injury problems this season. Barcelona and Flick are said to have taken Yamal's complaint seriously.
The player has been allowed to use different medical staff from the ones who were treating him. Also, Flick has reverted to the methods they used last season in a bid to find solutions to their injury problems.
