NPFL Winner to earn 100 Million Naira

The Head of operations of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Davidson Owunmi has revealed that the winner of the NPFL Super Six will go home with N100m.

Pulse Sports reports that Owunmi disclosed on Tuesday that the Super Six will take place in a state that doesn't have an NPFL club.

He said, “No location for super six yet though a venue exists in their mind and that venue has no Premier League team.

“However, they will like to see how the season progresses and commercial viability before announcing a venue. Abuja and Lagos are provisional venues in their minds.”

Pulse Sports reports that midweek action resumes in the NPFL with match day 11 across all centres.

Abridge League

The 2022–23 NPFL season is an abridged league with the 20 clubs drawn into two groups (A and B), with ten clubs in each group.

The top three will battle for the trophy in the Super Six, and the bottom two in each group will return to the second tier, the Nigeria National League.
