NBA Playoffs: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander erupts for 40 as Thunder take 3-1 lead against Timberwolves

In Game 4 of the Western Conference finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-126 behind 40 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Oklahoma City took a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series after Jalen Williams scored 34 points on 13-for-24 shooting.

Chet Holmgren scored 21 points on 9 of 14 shots to power the Thunder to victory.

To complete the victory, Gilgeous-Alexander made five of six free-throw tries in the last fifteen seconds.

Minnesota was led by Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who scored 23 points off the bench.

Donte DiVincenzo finished with 21 points off the bench, and Jaden McDaniels scored 22 points.

The Thunder thwarted the Timberwolves' comeback attempt after a fierce duel between the two teams in the closing minutes.

With 3:34 left, Gilgeous-Alexander made a 3-pointer from the left wing to put the score at 116-109, showcasing his agility.

With 1:21 remaining, Williams made another 3-pointer to put the Thunder ahead 123-116, extending the advantage back to seven points.

McDaniels, who made a driving layup with 1:10 left and a 3-pointer with 23.1 seconds left, helped the Timberwolves rally.

After having only four points before the half, Edwards finished the game with 16 points on 5-for-13 shooting.
