‘Messi playing in 38 degrees’ - Ligue 1 hit back at Ronaldo's statement that SPL is better than French League
A few weeks ago, Ronaldo made a derogatory comment about the French League, which caused a lot of argument on the internet.
The Portuguese, who have only played in England, Spain and Italy, took a jab at Ligue 1, the only league Lionel Messi played in after leaving Barcelona.
The French League was not pleased with Cristiano Ronaldo's comparison between the Saudi Pro League and Ligue 1.
Ligue 1 responds
Following an awards ceremony in Dubai, Ronaldo made a statement claiming, “The Saudi League is better than Ligue 1, of course. France is only Paris Saint-Germain. The rest is finished.
"If you don't believe me, try sprinting at 38, 39 and 40 degrees Celsius (100, 102 or 104 °F) and you'll see.”
His statement was followed by an immediate response to hit Ronaldo where it hurt from the Ligue 1 social media account on X, saying, "Leo Messi playing with 38°.”

They reminded Cristiano that his opponent, who was playing for PSG in France, won the World Cup by posting a picture of Lionel Messi holding the trophy he won in Qatar 2022 and his award as the tournament's best player.
