Marcel Sabitzer delivers update on Manchester United future

Marcel Sabitzer has revealed that he would be interested in making his loan move from Bayern Munich to Manchester United permanent this summer.

Sabitzer joined Man United on deadline day in January from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. His arrival was necessitated by the injury suffered by Christian Eriksen.

Sabitzer was on target twice in Manchester United's 2-2 Europa League draw against Sevilla. 

However, the 29-year-old had to withdraw from the starting XI against Nottingham Forest on Sunday due to injury and is now a doubt for the second leg in Spain this week.

In an interview with Bild, Sabitzer opened up on where he sees his future next season.

"United had clearly communicated during the loan that this is initially a project until the summer, then we'll see," he explained. 

"Until then, I want to give everything here. It's a loan deal with no options. 

"The situation will be assessed in the summer. But I can say for myself, I have found my place here. I know the Premier League now and I can say there is nothing better, more intense and tougher. 

"Every game is a fight, everything goes faster. This is the best league in the world. Once you've played here, you know, it's incomparable here."

Meanwhile, Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez has undergone successful surgery on a broken Metatarsal.

Martinez has been one of United’s best players this season following his arrival from Ajax in the summer and a big part of why the Red Devils are likely to finish the season in the top four.
