Manchester United in talks with Bayern for Sabitzer
Manchester United are said to be in talks with Bayern Munich for Maecel Sabitzer.
The 28-year-old Austrian midfielder shone for Leipzig before signing for Bayern; however, his involvement in the Bayern setup has been limited.

German football journalist Christian Falk reports that Manchester United are indeed in talks with Bayern Munich for the transfer of Sabitzer.

The report comes after Manchester United confirmed the ankle injury to Christian Eriksen that would rule him out for the next three months.
The Austria international signed for Bayern in the summer of 2021 after a successful spell at Leipzig, where he scored over 52 goals and assisted another 42 in 229 games.
Since signing for Bayern Munich, Sabitzer has struggled to enjoy the same level of prominence he had at Leipzig and has only managed to play 40 games for the Bavarians in that period.
Sabitzer could become the ninth signing for Manchester United this season and the second signing for the Red Devils in January after Wout Weghorst.
Chelsea also want Sabitzer
Manchester United’s Premier League rivals, Chelsea, are also said to be interested in the midfielder and would be interested in bringing him to Stamford Bridge before the transfer deadline.
The Blues are in the market for a midfielder and have been in negotiations for Enzo Fernandez all winter.
Chelsea are yet to land their man, and have diversified their focus, competing with Manchester Unted for the signing of Marcel Sabitzer.
