Man United want Ferguson to fill key position

Manchester United are expected to be in the market for a striker in the summer, and they have reportedly set their sights on Brighton's highly-rated Evan Ferguson.

The 18-year-old striker broke out this season, and he is set to make his debut for Ireland tomorrow against France. The youngster had the attention of France's captain Kylian Mbappe, who said Les Bleus have prepared for the danger Ferguson poses,

Manchester United are in the race to sign Brighton's young striker Evan Ferguson, according to Football Insider.  

The Red Devils have reportedly sent scouts to watch the youngster play for Brighton, and are said to be prepared to pry him away from the seagulls. 

The 18-year-old recently signed his first professional contract last October, a four-year deal, and interested clubs are expected to make a significant financial commitment to convince Brighton.  

Ferguson is Brighton's youngest-ever debutant, and in his ten Premier League appearances this season, he has scored three goals and made two assists.  

With news of a takeover looming, a huge splash is expected to be made by Manchester United in the summer transfer window. 

The Red Devils are expected to go all out for a central striker, a position in which they are currently lacking, and names like Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen have been floated about.
