Construction of the new Samia Stadium in Arusha has reached the 70 per cent mark, with regional officials confident that the state-of-the-art facility will be ready by July 2026.

Arusha Regional Commissioner Amos Makalla confirmed the project is proceeding on schedule, underscoring the government's dedication to delivering a modern sports complex that meets both regional and national standards.

Makalla provided the update during a site inspection by Prime Minister Mwigulu Nchemba, who was in the region on an official tour to evaluate the project's progress.

"Construction is now 70 per cent complete, and we are confident the stadium will be finished by July this year," Makalla stated as per Daily News.

Named in honour of President Samia Suluhu Hassan, the stadium is expected to revolutionise Arusha's sporting scene.
