Atalanta have reportedly rejected Inter’s second bid for Ademola Lookman, as they continue to hold out for a €50 million bid.
The 27-year-old has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Nerazzurri and is keen to join them. Inter have had a previous €40 million bid rejected. La Dea also turned down the latest one.
The details
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Bergamo-based club have informed Inter that they will not be accepting their improved bid for the Nigerian.
As Pulse Sports reported, the three-time UCL winners submitted a second bid worth €45 million to Atalanta after their €40 million offer was rejected. The bid was structured as €42 million guaranteed and €3 million in add-ons.
The 2024 Europa League champion want €50 million, according to reports, and Inter’s two bids have fallen short of that valuation.
Meanwhile, this rejection could mean the end of the pursuit, as Inter's president, Beppe Marotta, said that they would end the chase and pursue new targets while they fail to complete the deal for Lookman in two to three days. He made the statement three days ago.
