Basketball savant LeBron James poked fun at a journalist for wearing Manchester United-branded attire to a press conference.

The 40-year-old Lakers forward is a part owner of Liverpool Football Club, the Red Devils’ primal rivals. He initially owned a 2% stake in the club back in 2011, before converting it to a 1% stake in Fenway Sports Group (FSG), the principal owners of the Reds, among other sports teams.

What LeBron said 

The four-time NBA champion is no stranger to Anfield, and he is regularly seen donning Liverpool kits on social media and out in the world

Lakers journalist Mike Trudell wore a Manchester United jacket to interview LeBron, and the former Miami Heat ace mocked him. 

Displaying his allegiance to Liverpool, he said, “That's a horrible jacket, by the way,” before playfully motioning to rip the Red Devils crest off the jacket.
