Danjuma has been a familiar figure in Spanish football since joining Villarreal in the 2021/22 campaign, after earlier spells in Belgium’s Club Brugge and England’s Premier League with Bournemouth, Tottenham Hotspur, and Everton.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, to a Dutch father and Nigerian mother, Danjuma was eligible to represent either country internationally but chose the Netherlands. He has earned six caps and scored two goals for the Dutch national team.

Last season with Villarreal, Danjuma featured 37 times, scoring five goals and providing two assists, with the Yellow Submarine also confirming the transfer on their website.

With Valencia keen to strengthen their attacking options following an inconsistent 2024/25 season, Danjuma’s arrival is seen as a key boost.

His versatility allows him to create danger from multiple attacking positions, and he is expected to be a mainstay under Valencia’s head coach Carlos Corberán.

Danjuma expressed excitement about his new chapter, stating, “I can’t wait to get started and show my quality,” as he prepares to make an impact at the historic Mestalla stadium.

With the new LaLiga season fast approaching, fans of Valencia and Danjuma alike will be hoping this transfer marks the beginning of a strong campaign for both player and club.
