Kvaratskhelia ruled out of Napoli's game against Cremonese
Napoli have announced that winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will be unavailable for Napoli's Coppa Italia match against Cremonese.
The 21-year-old has been a revelation for Napoli this season since signing from Georgian club Dinamo Batumi last summer.
The Georgian winger has made 21 goal contributions this season in only 20 games, earning himself the nickname ‘Kvaradona’ from the Napoli faithful, after Partenopei legend Diego Maradona.
Kvaratskhelia out against Cremonese
Napoli announced via their website today that Kvaratskhelia is down with the flu and would not be available for their Coppa Italia tie tonight against Cremonese.
He did not train with the team in their muscle activation training and would not participate in Tuesday night's game.
Napoli would also be without midfielder Diego Demme, whose wife recently gave birth to a daughter.
Napoli's treble chances
Napoli stand a chance to achieve a treble this season, and their performances in the Champions League so far, where they won their group containing Liverpool, suggest they can win the competition.
Partenopei are also the league leaders, nine points ahead of AC Milan in second place.
A victory in the Coppa Italia against Cremonese tonight advances their chance to win the competition and sets them up to win a treble.
Kvaratskhelia has been Napoli's best performer this season and has been immense in the other competitions they have dominated in.
His absence makes the game a potential banana skin, and Cremonese would fancy their chances of playing a Napoli without Kvaratskhelia.
