Judgement Day! Manchester City finally given hearing date for 115 financial charges
Richard Masters, the Premier League chief executive, revealed a timeline for the Manchester City hearing has been agreed – the first significant announcement since the charges were laid by the Premier League in February 2023.
In a statement, the league noted they had “referred several alleged breaches” committed across nine different seasons dating back to the 2009/2010 campaign to an independent commission.
Date set for Manchester City hearing
Masters was asked about the case in an appearance before the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee.
“There is a date set for that proceeding; unfortunately, I can’t tell you when that is, but it is progressing.
“I can’t give any details on Man City beyond saying that a date has been set; I can’t tell you when that date is,” he said.
