Jamaican Sprinter Among Latest Athletes Cleared for Enhanced Games
The controversial Enhanced Games has confirmed that another group of elite athletes, including Jamaican sprinter Denae McFarlane, has passed medical reviews and will compete in its inaugural competition.
The company announced on Tuesday that five more competitors have been cleared to participate. The latest additions include swimmers Emily Barclay, Antani Ivanov, and Miguel de Lara Ojeda, along with sprinters Jasmine Abrams and Denae McFarlane.
This announcement follows earlier confirmations of high-profile names like two-time Olympic swimming medalist James Magnussen, Olympic weightlifting champion Kuo Hsing-chun, and former world champion boxer Lucas Browne. Over 70 athletes have reportedly expressed interest in the drug-testing-free competition.
Chief Sporting Officer Elated to Add More Participants to Enhanced Games
"As our athletes move through medical review, we continue to add elite competitors from across the globe," said Rick Adams, Chief Sporting Officer for Enhanced.
"This group of athletes appreciates our flexible model that provides them with unmatched and sustained medical supervision, training, nutrition, recovery, and financial support."
According to the Enhanced Games, they aim to create a platform where athletes can openly use performance enhancers, provided they are prescribed and monitored by medical professionals.
All participants must undergo a thorough medical screening by a third-party to ensure they can compete safely.
Enhanced founder and CEO Scott Walter framed the event as a movement toward transparency and pushing human limits. "We’re not just building a competition; we're crafting a movement where athletic performance is celebrated in its most enhanced form, always prioritised with rigorous medical scrutiny," he stated.
Walter added, "We believe in empowering athletes, pushing the boundaries of human capability, and doing so with complete transparency and medical oversight. These athletes are pioneers, challenging the status quo and redefining what’s possible."
Who is Denae McFarlane
Joining him is Denae McFarlane, 25, an accomplished collegiate sprinter from the University of Texas-El Paso.
During her time in Conference USA, McFarlane secured silver medals in both the 60m and 100m events. She was also a key member of the conference-winning 4x100m relay team, which claimed victories at multiple NCAA meets.
The roster now includes a five-time World Championship finalist and 2020 Bulgarian Olympic Team member, who also holds a World Championship bronze medal and a European Junior Championships silver in the 200m butterfly.
Meanwhile, on November 26, 2025, Enhanced Ltd confirmed it had entered into a definitive business combination agreement with A Paradise Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: APAD), a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC).
This strategic move is designed to introduce the global sports enterprise to the U.S. public markets. The transaction is currently awaiting regulatory approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
