Khvicha Kvaratskhelia leaves Osimhen at Napoli: Signs for PSG, to wear No 7 jersey

French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The 23-year-old winger will be the first Georgian to wear the number 7 shirt at the French club.

Kvaratskhelia joined Italian Serie A giants SSC Napoli in July 2022 to continue his development.

He won Serie A Player of the Month for August 2022 and became a key player for the team under Luciano Spaletti.

Kvaratskhelia and his teammates helped Napoli break a 33-year drought as Italian champions in his debut season.

The Georgian international demonstrated his complete range of potential by finishing 17th in the Ballon d'Or.

He also won the Best Player and Best Assister in Serie A and Best Young Player in the Champions League.

President of Paris Saint-Germain Nasser Al-Khelaïfi stated the addition of Kvaratskhelia.

He said, "We are delighted to welcome Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to the Paris Saint-Germain family.

"Khvicha is one of the most exciting players in world football - a fantastic talent, but also a player who has courage and fights for the team above all else."

Kvaratskhelia now departs Napoli leaving his strike partner Nigeria's Victor Osimhen who is now on loan at Turkish Lig One side Galatasaray.
