Faith Kipyegon expressed her excitement to have won her final race of the season and is now going back home to spend time with her family before preparations ahead of next season begin.

The world 5000m silver medallist noted that the weather was a bit unfavourable at this year’s edition of the event, but she managed to hold on to finally get the victory.

“I just wanted to finish my race beautifully. I started uh my season some months ago, and I was really looking forward to finishing my season beautifully, and that is exactly what I did. I just wanted to run, just enjoy the race and enjoy the atmosphere out there,” Faith Kipyegon revealed in an interview shared by Letsrun.com.

“No, today was a little bit fast compared to last year. Last year was 1500. This year was a mile, and last year we ran a tactical race. So, this year it was like no, today was like it was fast, and it was a little bit cold. So yeah, after the finish line, I was coughing a lot," she added, as per Citius Mag.
