In an interview with Sky Sports, Whyte expressed his desire to revive the rivalry in 2025.
The outspoken Whyte also feels that Joshua's reign at the top is ended after he was soundly defeated by Daniel Dubois in September of last year.
He said, “If he wants to fight, then all they’ve got to do is call me.
"I’m always up for fighting AJ. No problem for me. However, personally, I think he’s finished.”
Malta and Ireland were the locations of Whyte's most recent bouts, respectively.
The 36-year-old has beaten Ebenezer Tetteh, Christian Hammer, and Jermaine Franklin since suffering a crushing knockout loss to Tyson Fury at Wembley Stadium.
