Dani Alves further implicated in sexual assault scandal by statement of victim's cousin
The victim’s cousin, who was present with her at the scene of the alleged crime has now opened up on some details surrounding his relative’s alleged plight.
A report from Dario AS, revealed that last April he already acknowledged that he spoke with his cousin "just when Dani Alves had already gone to the bathroom" and debated "about whether he should go or not".
The cousin of the complainant has now offered new details about the subsequent moments and about the attitude of Alves’ friend, Bruno Brasil, who was also at the Sutton nightclub that morning.
"They were dancing. She told me that she was insisting on him to leave, that she said where and that he didn't answer. My cousin went voluntarily (to the bathroom of the reserved)," he was quoted to have said as per Dario AS.
The victim’s cousin further added that his cousin did not know the true intentions of the footballer.
He said:
"She thought they were going to talk and I told her: 'Go and settle the matter'.
I waved my hand at him. 15 or 20 minutes passed. Dani came back first. She had a bad face."
Dani Alves could now be facing a fresh blow in his bid to secure a release from prison, even as the former Pumas and Juventus defender insists that even though he had intercourse with the victim, it was consensual.
