AC Milan have officially pulled the plug on their pursuit of Nigeria and Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface, canceling the much-anticipated transfer deal at the final hurdle.
The Serie A giants’ plans to sign the Nigerian forward have been dashed after medical tests raised concerns, leaving Boniface devastated as a blockbuster move falls through.
As reported earlier by Pulse Sports Nigeria, Milan had reportedly decided to end their chase of Nigerian forward Boniface, with the Serie A club switching focus to two new strikers in the summer transfer window as they look to strengthen their attack.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that despite a verbal agreement on a €5 million loan fee and a €24 million purchase option, the deal collapsed following comprehensive medical examinations conducted over the weekend in Milan.
Boniface, who had traveled to Milano in the last 48 hours to finalise the move, is set to return to Germany today as AC Milan withdraw from the transfer.
This sudden cancellation marks a major blow for both the 24-year-old striker and the Rossoneri, who will now need to reconsider their transfer strategy ahead of the new season.

The decision comes after Boniface underwent four separate medical examinations in Milan, none of which convinced the club to seal the transfer, initially on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.
The 24-year-old striker, who has twice suffered ruptured cruciate ligament injuries, showed lingering concerns from these past injuries.
These past injuries mean Boniface’s ‘knee could not convince Milan doctors during his examinations leadving the Serie A giants to end their interest.
Thisdevelopment comes as a major blow for both Boniface and the Rossoneri, who have been keen to strengthen their attacking options this transfer window.
