Barcelona eye cast away Man United star Jadon Sancho
LALIGA champions are eyeing the market for bargains again, as they are reportedly weighing up a move for Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho.
The 23-year-old is currently banished from the first team after his social media rant criticising manager Erik ten Hag’s comment.
Sancho has reportedly been told by Ten Hag that he must apologise before he is reinstated, but the England international is said to be reluctant.
This opens up the possibility that the club will attempt to push him out, despite shelling out a sumptuous €85 million fee to sign him from Dortmund in the Summer of 2021.
Barcelona target Sancho
The Blaugrana are considering signing the Manchester City academy graduate on loan, according to reports by Spanish Publication Sport.
Given the Blaugrana’s financial situation, they have been forced to chase bargains, and Sancho’s situation could provide a unique opportunity.
Ansu Fati and Ez Abde, two players who occupy the left flank for the club departed this summer, and Barcelona are said to be open to bringing in a replacement if the finances allow.
Manchester United could allow Sancho to leave on loan, but should he be joining Barcelona, the Red Devils will have to take on a sizable chunk of his wages, with the Catalan side seeing a significant reduction to their LALIGA wage cap, which they have already exceeded as it is.
