Paul has now decided to put aside talks about a massive fight against the former unified heavyweight champion.
This comes after Paul stated that he will be a massive challenge for Joshua than former UFC heavyweight champions Francis Ngannou.
The 'Problem Child' has announced his return to the ring against WBA lightweight kingpin Gervonta "Tank" Davis in an exhibition fight.
Paul takes on Davis capitalizing on his massive bout against boxing legend Mike Tyson in Texas.
Paul made a shock turn from fighting against at heavyweight to taking on Davis a lightweight specialist.
The fight between Paul and Davis was announced in a collaborative post on their official social media platforms.
Along with the post was a message that said, "Size vs Speed, Power vs Precision
"One will rise and one will fall, From Atlanta, live globally only on Netflix, Friday November 14th."
There have been reports that the fight between Joshua and Paul was not successful due to network disputes and sanctioning by British boxing.
Davis comes into the fight as one of boxing’s top pound-for-pound talents with an impeccable 30-0-1 record, including 28 knockouts.
Despite the setback with Paul, promoter Eddie Hearn is set to chase a massive all-British showdown between Joshua and Tyson Fury in 2026.
