Angela Okutoyi crowned W15 Monastir doubles champion in thrilling tennis showdown

Kenya's tennis sensation Angella Okutoyi and her talented French partner, Beverley Nyangom, secured a resounding victory at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Women's World Tennis Tour W15 Monastir in Tunisia. 

The dynamic duo emerged triumphant in the doubles category after a captivating final that showcased their exceptional abilities on the court.

Facing formidable opponents Gaia Parravicini and Samira De Stefano from Italy, Okutoyi and Nyangom demonstrated their prowess, emerging victorious with a hard-fought 6-4, 3-6, 10-2 victory. 

The match, which took place at the esteemed Magic Hotel Skanes Family Club, captivated spectators with its intensity and high-stakes nature.

The path to the final was not without its challenges, as Okutoyi and Nyangom encountered a stroke of fortune in the earlier stages of the tournament.

In the semifinals, their opponents Raquel Gonzalez of Spain and Sofia Camila Rojas of the USA were forced to retire in the first set due to unforeseen circumstances. 

At the time of their withdrawal, Okutoyi and Nyangom were leading 5-2, showcasing their dominance and potential as a formidable team.

The duo's remarkable chemistry and complementary playing styles were evident throughout the competition, enabling them to overcome fierce opposition and emerge as deserving champions.
