The Las Vegas Aces' center A'JA Wilson has been named the 2024 WNBA Most Valuable Player (MVP).

With 670 points and all 67 first-place votes, Wilson became the first unanimous Kia WNBA MVP since Cynthia Cooper of the Houston Comets in the league's inaugural 1997 season.

Three MVP Awards are now held by her, two of which were won in 2020 and 2022.

She becomes one of only three WNBA players with three MVP honors, along with Lisa Leslie, Lauren Jackson, and Sheryl Swoopes.

In her 38 games played in 34.4 minutes, the towering Las Vegas ace averaged 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.58 blocked shots, and 1.79 steals in her seventh WNBA season.

In addition to leading the WNBA in points and blocks, Wilson also set career highs in all five per-game statistics.

She finished second in rebounds, fifth in steals, and fourth in minutes.

Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx (467 points) and Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty (295) were rated second and third respectively, behind Aces' Wilson.

Caitlin Clark, the highly-rated guard from the Indiana Fever, placed fourth in the MVP standings with 130 points following a fantastic rookie year in which she smashed record after record.
