Olympics 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson has celebrated her ATHLOS win by embracing a new style after swapping her signature look while in New York.

British track star Keely Hodgkinson has returned to her signature blonde look just days after debuting a dramatic brunette hairstyle in New York.

The 800m Olympics champion surprised fans earlier this week by swapping her trademark blonde ponytail for deep chocolate brown curls.

Hodgkinson shared a series of headshots on social media showcasing the new style, captioning the post: "New York made me do it."

However, in her latest Instagram update on Wednesday, the 22-year-old revealed she was back to blonde, embracing what she called a "Jungle Barbie" aesthetic. The new photos feature the athlete in a striking purple bra and skirt, with one image appearing on her Instagram story and another on her main feed.

Hodgkinson Had a Successive Outing in New York

The hairstyle change comes on the heels of a successful trip to the United States. Last Friday, Hodgkinson triumphed at the prestigious all-female ATHLOS event in New York, just weeks after narrowly missing out on gold at the World Athletics Championships.

Following her victory, Hodgkinson was presented with her prize by tennis icon Serena Williams. Athlos, an innovative two-day meet, was created by Williams' husband and Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, to offer female athletes a high-profile competition with one of the sport's most significant prize funds.

"I've barely raced this season, so it was probably less of a struggle for me to go out there and want to give it something," Hodgkinson said after her win. "The atmosphere out there is crazy, so it was really, really fun."
