Congratulations Man United!

Manchester United have been crowned new champions in the Carabao Cup after beating Newcastle United 2-0 at Wembley Stadium.

Both teams were on a trophy drought but United was determined to revive a devil that died six years ago after lifting the UEFA Europa League under Jose Mourinho against Ajax.

Newcastle on the other hand is proving to be a thorn in the flesh both in the English Premier League and other competitions and thousands of their fans flocked the Wembley stadium to witness their boys play in a cup final.

The Magpies couldn't resist pressure from the surging Devils and a superb goal from Casemiro and an own goal from Sven Botman ensured that Newcastle's wait for silverware continues.

One player who was outstanding throughout the match was Casemiro and United fans couldn't resist praising him despite the whole team putting in efforts to land the Carabao trophy.

Casemiro signed for United in August 2022, and it seems like he was the perfect piece that the Red Devils were missing when Erik ten Hag came in as the United manager.

The Brazilian has bought into Ten Hag's philosophy, thanks to his strictness and winning mentality. United fans can only hope that they win more trophies with the Brazilian.

Can Newcastle challenge for other trophies?

Newcastle are wounded after losing to Manchester United in the Carabao final, but that doesn't mean that they can't challenge for other major trophies in Europe.

The Magpies are currently 5th in the EPL after dropping crucial points against a struggling Liverpool. The good news however is that they could be competing in the UEFA Champions League if they finish among the top four.
