Shabana FC have been boosted massively after their talisman made a return to training just days before their highly-waited clash with Gor Mahia.
Shabana look to have received a timely boost ahead of the second part of the season after talisman Brain Michira returned to training.
Michira has been out of action for nearly three months due to a groin injury that needed surgery sustained early in October, missing a large chunk of the first leg.
In his absence, the Glamour Boys initially struggled to score before they got their groove back in the final games of 2025 but the playmaker’s return to training offers them hope of a better second leg of the campaign.

‘He Had Bad Passes' - South Africa Coach Blasts Midfielder After Lucky Escape Against Zimbabwe
South Africa coach Hugo Broos has slammed one of his trusted midfielders for a poor show against Zimbabwe when Bafana Bafana nearly lost the decisive AFCON 2025 match.
Michira suffered a partial tear to his right groin during Shabana’s 1-0 win over Bandari on September 28, when he scored the only goal, but he was fielded in the following match against Tusker on October 5.
Will Michira Be Ready for Gor Mahia Tie?
It turned out to have been an ill-advised decision as Michiria lasted a little under 10 minutes before he was stretchered off and he has not been seen since.
However, from the latest training photos posted by the club on social media, Michira is seen in high spirits going through his paces with teammates, igniting hope among supporters that he will be ready when the FKF Premier League resumes.

Divock Origi: 5 Potential Destinations for Liverpool Cult Hero After Milan Contract Termination
Former Liverpool striker Divock Origi saw his contract terminated at AC Milan last week after nearly two years without playing but where could he end up now?
It would be a great boost for coach Peter Okidi if his talisman is available from the go as they face Gor Mahia next on January 11 while the two teams are level on 23 points although K’Ogalo have played 12 matches to Shabana’s 14.
Shabana are hoping for a title challenge this season after an impressive fifth-place finish last term and Michira, who had scored three goals before his injury, will be key to how far they go.
