'Handled Him Without a Problem' – Sundowns Legend Slams Mukoko's Absence Ahead of Lupopo Clash
The Mamelodi Sundowns legend has insisted that the team could have dealt with Mukoko as he expressed disappointment over his suspension ahead of the Saint Eloi Lupopo clash.
"I don’t see a difference between Sundowns and teams in Europe," said Salmi. "It is very difficult to play against Sundowns; it is like 50 Brazilians and 50 Europeans. If CAF teams have to play Sundowns, then they have to pay attention because it is a big name."

Salmi admitted the game slipped away from them in the second half and pointed to missed opportunities as the primary cause for the loss.
He stressed that the team will now focus on capitalising on their home advantage to get their campaign back on track.

The Bafana Bafana job is set to be declared vacant following the 2026 World Cup after Hugo Broos anounced his intention to retire, and Rivieiro is among those tipped for the job.
"If you watched the match, you saw we lost control in the second half. Why? Because if you don't create and convert your chances, you will be punished," he explained.
"We need to be more clinical in our upcoming games. We will see what happens in our next match in Lubumbashi."
