Rwanda President Paul Kagame has responded after his beloved Arsenal suffered Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Rwanda President Paul Kagame has reaffirmed his support for Arsenal despite their Champions League elimination by Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

The Gunners saw their European campaign end following a 1-0 loss away to Bayern and 3-2 on aggregate in what has been a tough week for Mike Arteta’s men.

Joshua Kimmich headed home a second half goal for the Bavarian giants who were better than their north London rivals on the day with Arsenal failing to make it to the Champions League semi-final since 2009.

However, Kagame, a diehard Arsenal fan, is not questioning his loyalty following the heartbreaking result.

“Even when they bow out they are still my Club- #Arsenal. Congratulations- #FCBayernM,” Kagame posted on X.

Kagame was at the Emirates Stadium when Arsenal faced Bayern in the first leg on April 9 when the match ended 2-2.

The Rwandan leader has been vocal of his support for Arsenal on social media, with his posts on X about the north London club dating back to 2011.

His country sponsors the Visit Rwanda sponsorship deal that covers Arsenal’s men’s and women’s shirt sleeves, as well as the tourist board’s agreement with Bayern.

With the Gunners losing 2-0 to Aston Villa last weekend to hand the title initiative to Manchester City, Kagame will be hoping that his beloved Arsenal dust themselves up quickly and win against Wolves this weekend, to get their Premier League title charge back on track.
