The attacker made his City Stars debut as a second-half substitute against Posta Rangers in December.

Nairobi City Stars striker Andrew Kisilu aims to lead from the front by scoring more goals and helping his side finish with a flourish in the 2022-2023 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season.

The forward has been performing consistently for the Simba wa Nairobi with two goals and two assists in the current campaign, having joined the side at the start of the season from second-tier side Dandora Love.

City Stars are 14th on the league standings with 29 points from 29 matches and will be fighting for maximum points in the remaining matches to avoid relegation.

Kisilu believes he can find the back of the net in the remaining matches to boost their chances of remaining in the league.

“I am looking forward to contributing more goals and assists for the team in the remaining matches,” he said.

Kisilu, who dons jersey 11 at City Stars, which he inherited from David Agesa, had a slow start to the season but has since become a mainstay featuring in all matchday squads since mid-December 2022.

“So far the journey has been nothing short of challenges as well as breakthroughs,” he added. “The support from fellow teammates and the coaches has gone a long way.”

So far, the youngster has featured in 25 of 29 games in his debut premier league season and has clocked 1,095 minutes. Of the 25 games, Kisilu has earned 13 starts and two full games.

City Stars will next host Bandari on Sunday, May 15, at the Ruaraka Grounds before facing AFC Leopards on Saturday, May 27 in their last fixtures of this month.
