Reports in the Middle East claimed that Al Ittihad are prepared to pay a fee of £60million for the Liverpool icon.

Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah’ will not join the exodus to Saudi Arabia this summer.

This is according to his agent Rammy Abbas, who posted on social media that the Egypt captain has no interest in ending his six-year stay at Anfield.

Reports in the Middle East claimed that Al Ittihad are prepared to pay a fee of £60million ($76.3m) and offer the Egypt international around £155m in wages over the course of two years.

Salah, 31, signed a new three-year contract last summer which made him the highest-paid player in the club’s history on around £350,000 per week.

“If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC,” Abbas posted.

Liverpool have already lost two experienced players to Saudi Arabia this summer. Captain Jordan Henderson moved to Al Ettifaq for £12 million prior to Fabinho completing a £40 million switch to Al Ittihad.

Salah, who scored 30 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season, was recently promoted to the club’s leadership group by Jurgen Klopp.

Salah has won an array of trophies during his time at Liverpool, including the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup and the League Cup.

Al-Ittihad have brought in Salah's former Liverpool team-mate Fabinho, who joined for £40million.

They have also signed other high-profile players such as Karim Benzema from Real Madrid and N'Golo Kante from Chelsea.

Following Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Al-Nassr in January, a host of other players have headed to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Jordan Henderson, another of Salah's former team-mates, signed for Al-Ettifaq, while Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, Edouard Mendy and Allan Saint-Maximin are amongst the players to have joined Al-Ahli.

Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are at Al-Hilal, while Sadio Mane, another former Liverpool star, joined Al-Nassr from Bayern Munich.
