Mohammed Bajaber has broken his silence after joining Simba SC, revealing the major dream he is now set on achieving.

Harambee Stars forward Mohammed Bajaber has broken his silence since joining Tanzanian giants Simba SC.

Mohammed Bajaber exited the Harambee Stars CHAN 2024 training camp shortly before the tournament to finalise a move to Simba SC, where he was officially unveiled on Saturday, August 2.

The former Kenya Police FC ace had suffered an injury setback and was taking cautious steps towards his recovery at the time his deal with Simba SC was unveiled.

Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy was also working closely with Mohammed Bajaber to ensure he would be fully fit by D-day; however, the 22-year-old had other plans in mind.

Since his move to Simba SC, Mohammed Bajaber has remained under the radar and only spoke about his major ambition in a recent interview with Azam TV.

In the interview, Mohammed Bajaber went down memory lane about how his parents were against him pursuing football as a career.

Bajaber explained that his parents wanted him to pursue education, but after being convinced by his elder brothers, they finally yielded to the pressure and supported him financially and emotionally.

Speaking about his ambitions with Simba SC, Mohammed Bajaber revealed that he is looking forward to the duel between Simba SC and Yanga, and he expects to score.

He revealed that the Tanzanian derby is more like the clash between AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia, Mashemeji derby and though he has never played in such a match in Kenya, he now has a chance to do it in Tanzania.

“My parents have been very supportive, but at first, they never wanted me to play football a lot. They advised me to go back to school, and after playing in Ligi Ndogo, I went back to school. However, my brothers convinced my parents, and they supported me financially and emotionally,” Mohammed Bajaber told Azam TV.

“Simba vs Yanga is a big game, and everyone is always looking forward to seeing how things will go and when the game will be played.

“As a player, I’m always looking forward to seeing how the game will go and also score. I would say it’s pretty much the same as the Mashemeji derby inasmuch as I’ve not played there. I believe such games elevate me as a player.”

Mohammed Bajaber has since joined Simba SC in their pre-season training in Egypt as he looks to have a smooth recovery process ahead of the 2025/26 season.
