Barcelona are also said to be highly interested in the Bayern Munich fullback.

Manchester United are reportedly set to battle Liverpool and Real Madrid over Benjamin Pavard of Bayern Munich.

The French defender is on the brink of leaving the Bavarians in the summer, and this has alerted clubs interested in him. The defender is said to have also attracted the interest of Barcelona, and that only means the fight for his signature is going to be intense.

The 27-year-old has been one of the top defenders in Europe since he rose to prominence while at Stuttgart and thereafter became a regular with the French national team. He played a major role in the team that conquered the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

His prominence grew even better when he joined Bayern Munich in 2019 and has become a regular for the Bavarians in the last four seasons.

He is going to enter the final year of his contract in July, leading clubs interested in him to closely watch how the situation will pan out.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are keen to sign a right-back, with the latter yet to find a long-term replacement for Dani Alves. On the other hand, Los Blancos want an alternative for Dani Carvajal.

United and Liverpool are also keen to strengthen their fullback positions. The Red Devils are considering letting Aaron Wan-Bissaka leave this summer, while Trent Alexander-Arnold’s conversion into a midfielder means a right-back is needed at Anfield.
