Liverpool have made their third summer signing after completing the transfer of nee left-back from Premier League rivals Bournemouth.

Liverpool FC have finally confirmed the signing of left-back Milos Kerkez from AFC Bournemouth. The player completed his medical and agreed to a long-term contract at the AXA Training Centre.

Kerkez is the Reds' latest summer signing, hot on the heels of Florian Wirtz's arrival last Friday and the third this summer following the capture of Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

In his first interview with Liverpoolfc.com, the Hungarian international expressed his excitement: "I'm incredibly happy and honored to join one of the biggest clubs in the world, the biggest club in England. I'm really excited for this opportunity."

He added: "I'll head home for a few days to enjoy time with family and friends, but I can't wait to return, put on the training kit, and begin preparing for the season."

Kerkez arrives at Anfield after two impressive seasons with Bournemouth, where he made 74 appearances, scoring two goals and providing eight assists.

Will Hungarian Left-Back Be A Success at Anfield?

The 21-year-old began his senior career with Hungarian side ETO FC Gyor before moving to AC Milan in 2021. He then joined AZ Alkmaar midway through the 2021-22 season, making 57 appearances during his year-and-a-half in the Netherlands.

Kerkez has earned 23 caps for Hungary since his international debut in a UEFA Nations League match against Germany in September 2022. He was shortlisted for the 2024-25 Men's PFA Young Player of the Year award and was a finalist for the 2023 Golden Boy award, recognizing Europe's best talent under 21.

Kerkez also shared a message for the fans: "I want to thank everyone for the incredible support, even before the announcement. Keep supporting the team as you always do—you're the best fanbase in the world. I'll give everything I have to win trophies with the club and hopefully score some goals at Anfield. I can't wait to hear the roar. See you soon!"

His official squad number will be announced later this summer.
