Chelsea have officially named Liam Rosenior as the new head coach to replace Enzo Maresca, securing his services with a long-term contract extending to 2032.

The English manager makes his return to his home country after a successful stint abroad with French club RC Strasbourg. In his debut season, he guided the French side to their first European qualification in 19 years. His previous coaching experience in England includes roles at Hull City and Derby County.

Upon his appointment at Stamford Bridge, Rosenior expressed his gratitude and ambition for his new role in the Premier League.

"I am extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed Head Coach of Chelsea Football Club," he stated. "This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies. My job is to protect that identity and create a team that reflects these values in every game we play as we continue winning trophies."

"To be entrusted with this role means the world to me, and I want to thank all involved for the opportunity and faith in undertaking this job. I will give everything to bring the success this club deserves,” he added.

Rosenior emphasised the core principles he intends to instill in the squad, highlighting the importance of unity and a collective drive for success.

The new head coach also sent a direct message to the supporters, acknowledging their crucial role.

The club noted that Rosenior has demonstrated an ability to build teams with a distinct playing style while maintaining high standards both on and off the field. While player development remains a key focus, Chelsea's ambitions for silverware are undiminished.
