Manchester United have made their stance regarding the future of academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo who is frustrated with his limited gametime at the club.
Manchester United have reportedly made a decision over the transfer of midfielder Kobbie Mainoo who is frustrated with his lack of minutes at the club.
Mainoo has had to deal with spells on the bench and some cameo appearances under Ruben Amorim, who has been at the club for one year now.
The United academy graduate was seen as the future of the club when he was unleashed by ex-coach Erik ten Hag, and he backed it up with impressive performances for United, earning him a spot in the England team for EURO 2024.

Ruben Amorim Questions Man United Academy Quality as He Defends Kobbie Mainoo Omission
Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim has aimed a dig at the club’s academy products amid criticism over his handling of youngster Kobbie Mainoo.
Italian champions Napoli are leading the long list of Mainoo’s suitors and are reportedly keen to sign him in January after missing out last summer but United have slammed the door on the 20-year-old again.
Amorim Not Giving Mainoo Guarantees
Amorim has made it clear Mainoo will not leave in January despite his desire to look for regular football, insisting United must first find a good replacement while the injury to captain Bruno Fernandes has left the club light in midfield during what is a busy period.
“Kobbie Mainoo will have the opportunity. He's going to be the future of Manchester United, that is my feeling. He just needs to wait for his chance and everything can change in football in two days,” Amorim told the media as quoted by Dailymail.
“The day before it was Kobbie (being injured) and then it was Bruno. We were talking about how Kobbie doesn't have the minutes that he deserves or needs, then you have the opportunity and Kobbie is not there. So sometimes it’s bad luck.”

Kobbie Mainoo's Brother Sends 3-Word Protest Message to Man United Boss Ruben Amorim
Kobbie Mainoo’s brother has expressed his sadness at the treatment of the Manchester United youngster, sending coach Ruben Amorim a clear message.
Amorim insists United will not panic-buy if they cannot find the player they need in January and he would rather stick with the current squad, including Mainoo, until the summer transfer window.
What Does the Future Hold for Midfielder?
“If we are not getting someone, it is hard to leave. Even with a full squad, we are shorter for something that can happen here. If we can bring someone, good. If not, we’ll spend money in the summer I think,” added the United coach.
“We are a club with a big responsibility. We are dealing with all these issues and everybody said we need to win every game. It doesn’t matter, there’s no excuses. So it’s going to be hard for someone to leave the club if we don’t get a substitute.
“Kobbie played in different positions. We talk about the position of Casemiro (defensive midfield). He can do that position. If we play with three (midfielders), he can play there.”
