One of those is the Sofapaka defender, who previously had a trial with Swedish second-tier side Vasteras SK.

The resurfacing of the trial, which happened in 2024, comes on the back of the defender's impressive showing at the U20 AFCON.

In a recent post, his managing camp shared an image from his trial, writing: "Our player Baron Ochieng, back in 2024, was on trial at Swedish club Vasteras SK."

This was from his 2024 trial with the now Swedish second-tier side that used to ply its trade in the Allsvenskan, Sweden's top-flight league, before being relegated during the 2023/24 campaign.

However the Sofapaka defender who played in two Rising Stars fixtures in Egypt, against Algeria and Tunisia has been heavily linked with amove to North Africa.

The Rising Stars player has reportedly already agreed a pre-contract for a move to Egyptian giants Pyramids FC, according to Citizen Digital.

With nothing official yet, the Kenyan ace's future hangs in the balance whether his move to North Africa or Europe will materialize.
