KCB FC goalkeeper Brian Opiyo Olang'o has been found alive and is currently receiving treatment at Radiant Hospital Umoja.

KCB FC goalkeeper Brian Opiyo Olang'o who had been feared missing since Sunday has been found alive bringing relief to his family and friends.

Sources close to the player have confirmed that Opiyo was discovered abandoned deep in Ngong forest after a harrowing abduction experience.

Reports indicate that Opiyo was forcibly taken from the Taj Mall area by three unidentified men who whisked him away in a car seizing his phone and emptying his bank account along the way.

His brother, Kevin Olang'o, a fellow footballer for FC Talanta, had been tirelessly leading efforts to locate him and had expressed concern over his disappearance earlier.

"It's true that my brother went out and has not returned. His phone has been going on and off, but we have reported the matter to the police," Kevin Olang'o disclosed in an interview with Pulse Sports.

KCB FC initially raised the alarm about Opiyo's disappearance when he failed to report to camp.

"We have received reports from the family of our player Brian Opiyo Olang'o that the goalkeeper has been missing from 6 pm on March 10, 2024," the club stated, expressing their concern for his safety.

Fortunately, Opiyo managed to send an SOS message to his wife before his abductors confiscated his phone, providing crucial information about his whereabouts and the peril he faced.

Despite the traumatic experience, his abductors did not demand any ransom from his family, leading to suspicions of ulterior motives.

Upon his rescue, Opiyo was found to have sustained injuries, including a deep cut on his left thigh, as well as injuries to his right shoulder and head, indicating that he had been subjected to torture during his captivity.

He is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital in outskirts of Nairobi where he will undergo further tests to assess the extent of his injuries and ensure his full recovery.
