The FIFA Best Women's Goalkeeper Award has been trimmed down to a list of three.

FIFA have announced the final shortlist for their FIFA Best Women's Goalkeeper Award, a three-person list.

FIFA Best Women’s Goalkeeper Award is given to female goalkeepers for their exploits over a period of time. The period under review for this year's award is from August 8, 2021, to December 18, 2022.

The top three women’s goalkeepers, according to FIFA, are as follows:

FIFA The Best Women's Goalkeeper

Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany, Chelsea)

Mary Earps (England, Manchester United)

Christiane Endler (Chile, Lyon)

Ann-Katrin Berger

After being in remission for four years, Berger was re-diagnosed with thyroid cancer during Euro 2022. This did not deter her, as she continued to star for her country, helping them reach the final of the competition, which they eventually lost to England.

The 32-year-old has also been superb for her club, Chelsea, helping them claim the league and FA Cup double for the second consecutive season.

She was the runner-up for the award last season, losing out to Christiane Endler.

Mary Earps

Earps was instrumental in England's conquest of Europe.

The 29-year-old's performances helped England concede only two games throughout the tournament while keeping four clean sheets.

Earps has also been influential for her club side, helping Manchester United become one of the most dominant forces in the Women's Super League.

Christiane Endler

Endler was her usual extraordinary self in the 2021/22 season, helping Lyon win the league and Champions League double.
