Aston Villa midfielder Nicola Zaniolo has denied getting involved in betting amid a link with the Sandro Tonali scandal.
Zaniolo was recently accused of getting involved in gambling alongside Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali.

The 23-year-old is cooperating with the authorities in a bid for a plea agreement after Italy teammate Nicolo Fagioli received a seven-month ban.
Both players were withdrawn from the Italy national team and were brought in for questioning by the Police.
The Italy international has been questioned about his role in the incident, but he has refuted any knowledge of betting on the match.

The Italian has debunked every report suggesting that he was involved in a betting scandal alongside his countryman.

Newcastle United make a statement as Italy international Sandro Tonali faces big trouble following accusations of illegal betting.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa will not pursue any action against the 24-year-old offensive midfielder and is willing to accept him as is.
On their website, Villa posted a brief statement stating that they had spoken with Zaniolo. It says, “Aston Villa can confirm Nicolo Zaniolo is assisting the Italian Football Federation into alleged illegal betting activity.
“The player has also met with senior club officials at the club. Zaniolo is training as normal with the first-team squad and is available for selection ahead of this weekend’s match with West Ham United.”
According to reports from the Mirror, It is believed that when Zaniolo returned to Villa, club sporting director Monchi questioned him regarding the allegations that have shaken both Italian and English football.
It was also reported that his identity turned up on a number of other connected apps and the Italian authorities were forced to investigate deeper.
Zaniolo is said to feature for Aston Villa on Sunday against West Ham despite the betting allegations levelled against him.
