Despite Manchester City chasing them down, the Gunners have made plans to celebrate the Premier League title when they win it

Premier League title contenders Arsenal have tempted fate after booking a trophy tour in case they win the league this season despite being locked in a fierce battle with reigning champions Manchester City.

The Gunners, last crowned English champions in 2004, find themselves atop the league table with just two games remaining, although Manchester City can overtake them if the Cityzens win all their three remaining matches.

The Gunners are gearing up for a grand celebration in the heart of North London. According to reports from The Athletic, the club is planning an open-top bus parade scheduled for the day after the season's conclusion. The parade is set to take place on Monday, May 20, at 5:00 pm local time, if they manage to usurp Manchester City.

An email sent to residents by Islington Council's assistant director of civil protection outlines the proposed route, starting and finishing at the iconic Emirates Stadium. The procession would pass through the Town Hall on Upper Street, Islington, offering fans a chance to enjoy Arsenal’s first league title in 20 years.

Arsenal hoping to win first title since 2004

Should Arsenal emerge victorious, it would mark the end of a 20-year wait for league glory. The Gunners last lifted the coveted Premier League trophy in the 2003/24 season, famous for Arsenal going the entire campaign without losing a match.

The parade route for 2024 title celebrations will reportedly mirror that of their last title triumph as Arsenal hope to play on fans’ nostalgia to create a special event.
