In an unfortunate turn of events, the Ghanaian national team bus was barricaded from leaving the stadium following the Black Stars’ disastrous 2-2 draw against Mozambique in the final group game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana suffer AFCON humiliation against Mozambique

The draw against Mozambique leaves Ghana in third place in Group B, with only two points and very slim chances of reaching the second round, even with the possibility of being one of the four best losers.

Two goals in extra time, including a penalty and a disastrous error from goalkeeper Richard Ofori, condemned the Black Stars to a disappointing draw and the very real chance that they will exit the 2023 AFCON at the Group stage

Fans and journalists loyal to the Black Stars have not taken kindly to the disappointment of a possible second consecutive group stage exit at AFCON.

Another video showed more alleged Ghanaian journalists barricading the stadium exit to stop the Black Stars team bus from leaving the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara.

With Ghana unlikely to play at the 2023 AFCON due to their poor standing in Group B, the series of incidents marks a disappointing end to their campaign in Africa’s biggest national team tournament.
