Sharks against problem riddled Wazito fc earned the William Muluya-coached side

three precious points after Paul Odhiambo and Fortune Omoto struck either side

of a Wazito leveler set the tone in the first half.

Sharks were buoyed heading into the fixture following an

uplifting 2-0 win over financially crippled Sofapaka in their last league

match.

Their determination to notch a second consecutive victory in

the top-flight showed early as they poke home in the 18th minute,

Odhiambo capping off a fine team move with a deft finish to put Sharks ahead.

A resilient Wazito then struck back nearly instantly to peg

Muluya’s back. It took four minutes for Wazito to score their equalizer by

Omoto responded within a minute to shoot Sharks back in front.

Three goals in twenty five minutes settled early skirmishes

as Sharks pulled their feet of the gas, biding their time towards the midway

breather.

chances for both teams ut it was Sharks who stretched their lead with Odhiambo

notching his second of the game after nine minutes into the second half.

fellow strugglers Vihiga United 2-1. Talanta had taken the lead in the 24th

minute of the game but suffered a sucker punch nineteen minutes into the second

half when Vihiga United conjured an equalizer.

the lead with seventeen minutes left on the clock. A cautious game management

then steered the relatively young squad to a priceless victory over fellow

relegation contenders.
