Jake Paul has expressed a bold desire to face heavyweight superstar Anthony Joshua in the ring and says he is willing to risk everything for the opportunity, even if it means putting his life on the line.

Jake Paul also wanted to face Canelo Alvarez in September but was outmanoeuvred by the super middleweight champion, who will instead square off against Terence Crawford at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Whether Jake Paul can secure a fight with Antony Joshua remains to be seen. While a mismatch on paper, given the size and experience differential, the fight is not being dismissed outright.

Nakisa Bidarian, CEO of Paul's Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), is fueling the speculation. He claims Paul is serious about the bout, downplaying the physical disadvantages and Joshua's perceived decline.

"I think the fight can absolutely happen. I look at it as Jake versus Joshua, it sounds almost biblical, and it would have a huge impact in many ways," Bidarian said as per Sky Sports.

"I think from a physical standpoint, we can reconcile the difference, and in terms of experience, Jake is learning quickly and evolving, while Joshua is already in the latter stages of his career. This could be a really interesting matchup, and we're in active discussions with Matchroom."

Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) is coming off a points victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. last month in Anaheim.

As for Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), he has not been in the ring since being knocked out by Dillian Whyte for the IBF heavyweight title late last year.

"I think we're aiming for early 2026 for this fight. It's known that AJ took some time off; I think he also had minor surgery,” he said.

“When both are ready, we'll focus entirely on this. Wembley is definitely a possibility. Jake said he'd like to fight there. He likes the idea of stepping into the ring and hearing 90,000 people boo him."

While Jake Paul appears keen, Anthony Joshua's willingness remains a key factor. Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, has acknowledged the fight's possibility, viewing it as a tune-up for a potential clash with Tyson Fury.

Bidarian also argued that Jake Paul has more boxing experience than Francis Ngannou, who was knocked out by Joshua last year.

However, Paul has yet to face an opponent of Joshua's calibre, despite his and Bidarian's confidence based on sparring with a 58-year-old Mike Tyson.
