The 2025 Diamond League Final will take place on Wednesday and Thursday in Zurich, Switzerland and here are the events to look out for and where to watch them.

Attention shifts to the Swiss city of Zurich where the 2025 Diamond League Final is set to take place on Wednesday and Thursday.

A number of big names are set to square it out for the $30,000 (Ksh3.8 million) that is on offer for Diamond League Trophy winners while a select few will be in the eight categories that will pocket $50,000 (Ksh6.5 million) for wins thanks to the “Diamond +Discipline” Rule.

Olympics champions Noah Lyles, Julien Alfred, Winfred Yavi, Beatrice Chebet, Faith Kipyegon and Emmanuel Wanyonyi are among the star athletes who will be lighting up the event with stiff competition expected.

The Diamond League Final programme will begin on Wednesday night with a number of field events being pole vault for both men and women, shot put (men and women), women’s high jump and men’s long jump.

On Thursday is when track events will take place and fans are looking forward to watching the star athletes in various disciplines in Zurich.

Time and Where to Watch

The Zurich Diamond League will start at 3.30pm Kenyan time on Wednesday with the women’s pole vault but will be a short programme that will end at 7.35pm.

On Thursday is where the rubber meets the road as the track events take centre stage. The programme on Thursday will begin at 6.01pm while the televised events will begin proper at 7.03pm with the men’s 400m hurdles.

Key events to look out for on Thursday will be the women’s 3,000m (7.49pm), women’s 100m hurdles (8.09pm), men’s 3,000m steeplechase (8.17pm), men’s 110m hurdles (8.34pm), women’s 1,500m (8.40pm), men’s javelin (8.45pm), men’s 1,500m (8.50pm), women’s 100m (9.02pm) and women’s 3,000m steeplechase (9.09pm).

Others are; men’s 100m (9.27pm), women’s 400m hurdles (9.35pm), women’s long jump (9.40pm), men’s 400m hurdles (9.44pm), men’s 3,000m (9.52pm), women’s 800m (10.09pm), men’s 800m (10.20pm), women’s 200m (10.30pm) and men’s 200m being the final event of the day from 10.39pm. The Diamond League Final will be televised live on SuperSport TV.
