Simbine revealed that despite having a great start to his season, there is still much to be done ahead of the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
The Paris 4x100m Olympic silver medallist revealed that he cannot wait to go back to training since he has been competing a lot since the season started.
“There's still so much work to be done, you know this is me right now, where I'm racing, it's not a finished product,” Akani Simbine said.
“May has been just a literal month of racing, and I'm looking forward to going back to training and just putting in the work and making sure that I'm bettering myself. So that's what I'm looking forward to right now.”
Akani Simbine now heads to the Atlanta City Games where he intends to continue the winning streak, before going back to South Africa and take sometime off before resuming training.
